El 30 de octubre de 2017, el Capítulo de D.C. llevo a cabo el Programa: “Estructuración y Protección de las Inversiones”. El evento tuvo lugar en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Georgetown y cuenta con el apoyo del Institutito de Derecho Económico Internacional (IIEL por sus siglas en inglés) y la Asociación de Arbitraje Internacional de Georgetown (GIAS por sus siglas de Georgetown). El Programa contó con la participación del Profesor Pierre Tercier de la Universidad de Friburgo como orador principal, el cual trató el tema de Arbitraje Internacional: Evolución y Adaptación. La presentación fue seguida por dos Paneles de discusión: “Aplicación e interpretación de Tratados de inversión: Nuevas tendencias en la Política de Tratados”, y “Estructuración de Inversiones para la Protección de Tratados: Mitigando riesgos”. On October 30, 2017, the D.C. Chapter held the Program: “Investment Structuring and Treaty Protection”. The event took place at Georgetown University Law Center and it was co-sponsored by the Institute of International Economic Law (IIEL) and Georgetown International Arbitration Society (GIAS). The Program counted with a keynote by Professor Pierre Tercier, Emeritus Professor, University of Fribourg, addressing the controversial topic “International Arbitration: Evolution & Adaptation”.
