Partner in the firm since 2009. He is the key attorney on transactional, international project finance and development, securities, and M&A cases handled by the firm.
Maldonado-Stark has advised mayor financial intermediaries, investment banks and global enterprises in local debt acquisitions, project finance and merger and acquisitions. He has assisted international developers on regulatory, financing and project development.
Maldonado has acted as legal counsel for regulatory matters for former mayor local energy distributors and certain power generators; in the acquisition of a 49% shares interest in the most important local steel and construction material manufacturer, representing the buyer, a Brazilian steel producer considered the largest producer of long steel in America and the world’s 14th largest steelmaker; and for the Dominican group in the strategic alliance and latter buy-out of the most important soft drinks producer in the country by the biggest brewery in the world. Recently he has provided assistance to a major Australian bank on a multimillion mining cross-border project finance deal.
