Con profundo pesar comunicamos el fallecimiento de nuestro Expresidente Judd L. Kessler, acaecido el día de ayer 24 de octubre en Washington DC.
El Expresidente Kessler ingresó a la FIA en Septiembre de 1982 y desde entonces trabajó y colaboró activa e incansablemente en el cumplimiento de los objetivos, la misión y visión de nuestra institución.
El Dr. Kessler como Vicepresidente y Presidente de varios Comités Académicos y Secciones, fungió como Presidente de la Fundación Interamericana de Abogados por varios años, fue Presidente de la FIA en el periodo del 2021 al 2022, y fue Miembro del Consejo hasta la fecha de su fallecimiento.
Extraordinario jurista y ser humano. Su legado y contribución a la FIA es invaluable. Lo extrañaremos en nuestras actividades.
La FIA expresa sus sentidas condolencias a su esposa Carol, su hijo Sam, familiares y amigos. Su alma descanse en paz.

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that our Former President, Judd L. Kessler, passed away yesterday, October 24, in Washington DC.
Former President Kessler joined the IABA in September 1982 and since then actively and tirelessly worked and collaborated in the fulfillment of the objectives, mission, and vision of our institution.
Mr. Kessler served as Vice President and Chairman of several Academic Committees and Sections, was the President of the Inter-American Bar Foundation for several years, was President of the IABA during the period from 2021 to 2022, and IABA Council Member until the date of his decease.
An extraordinary jurist and human being. His legacy and contributions to the IABA are unvaluable. We will miss him in our events.
The IABA expresses its deepest sympathies to his wife Carol, his son Sam, family, and friends. May his soul rest in peace.
